Amber is a Munich style lager brewed with pale and caramel malts and German Perle hops. It has a smooth, malty, slightly caramel flavor and a rich amber color. Abita Amber was the first beer offered by the brewery and continues to be our leading seller. Amber is Abita’s most versatile beer for pairing with food. It has been voted "best beer" in numerous New Orleans reader polls and is used frequently in recipes of great Louisiana chefs. (Description provided by company)

All-Around Good
Pours a light golden amber, with a thin white head. Some light lacing as well.
Nose is full of caramel and bready pale malts, with a very subtle and slightly grassy hop aroma.
Taste is crisp and clean, with the caramel malts giving a slightly sweet and bready taste, with a clean and crisp finish. Hops are slightly spicy and grassy, but overall bitterness is fairly low, and the finish is quite clean.
Medium body and moderate carbonation.
The Abita Amber is a simple but tasty take on a fairly classic style. Nothing extraordinary, but a very drinkable and all around good beer that would go with almost anything.
