Red Hare Cotton Tale Pale Ale pours bubbly and hazy, goldenrod in color. The head is a pillowy white. It’s beautiful but leaves the party as quickly as it arrives. The nose is bright and clean, with some slight citrus hop notes shining through. The flavor is crisp, bright hops, with some slight earthiness not present in the nose, and a dry but satisfying finish. Stylistically, I don’t go out of my way for pale ales, so I haven’t really had a ton of them. That said, I can’t imagine many of them being a lot better than this.
