Do you add lemon to beer? This beer is a time saver!
Pours a cloudy pale gold. About a finger of head. Head dissipates quickly, leaving a flat-looking beer.
Nose is typical of an American wheat beer, with fairly low hop aromas and a little bit of zesty lemon as well.
A fairly straightforward and unremarkable wheat beer at first. Lemon comes through quite strong toward the end of the beer. Almost, but not quite, lemon cough drop like. Bitterness is overall fairly low, and aftertaste is quick and dry.
Light body and moderate carbonation.
Not the most appealing looking beer, the Shock Top Lemon Shandy does save you a step if you like adding fruit to a wheat beer. I'm not sure if it makes this particular beer any better, but I don't think it makes it worse, or overshadows the beer flavor.
