Beer is the backbone of civilization
Wild Heaven's Civilization is an English barleywine that pours a copperish amber color and a thin head. It has a stronger hop nose than I'd expect for a barleywine, and that bears out in the flavor too. The regular players are here too, some dark fruit notes and brown sugar. It's got a dry finish too. Again, not something I'd expect from a barleywine. It's a cool mashup of flavors. Well executed, as is typical for Wild Heaven.
