Blue Pants Hefeweizen
Our take on the classic Bavarian Style utilizes traditional German malts and yeast to create a balance of Clove and Banana characteristic of the style.
Probably the best known style of wheat beer, Hefeweizen translates to "wheat with yeast". Usually made with 50-70% wheat malt.
Ranging in color from pale amber to gold, these beers are usually unfiltered, and so have a cloudy or hazy appearance. The typical hefeweizen flavor profile is low in hop bitterness, with the wheat giving a softer malt flavor and the yeasts producing some light fruity and clove-like flavors. Generally a dry finish, and slightly tart, but not bitter.
Best served cool, at 46-54 degrees, and in a weizen glass.
