Translated literally as "wheat-strong", the Weizenbock is a style stronger in flavor and alcohol than a traditional Dunkelweizen or Hefeweizen.
Ranging in color from a light amber to dark brown, it is not to be confused with the German Bock lager. The flavors and aromas in the Weizenbock are a strong malt bready sweetness balanced by a clove spiciness and fruity yeast ester flavors, The darker versions also exhibit toffee, chocolate, and other roasted malt flavors.
Best served cool, at 46-54 degrees, and in a chalice or a weizen glass.
